Pranayama is the yogic training of the breath. Unlike deep breathing or breathwork, it belongs to Yoga alone. What I teach comes from the traditional hatha scriptures, from modern science, and from my own practice.
One hour of pure practice with complete guidance. A stand-alone practice in the Kaivalyadhama lineage, not a warm-up for something else. All levels, absolute beginners included.
Āsana in the traditions I was trained in, taught in an accessible, heartfelt and modern way. Sun salutations, hatha, and the Jivamukti method.
Private classes, in person in Berlin or online. Useful if you are starting from nothing, working around something, or going deeper than an hour a week allows.
Where to find me at the moment.
Beyond the weekly hour: short online rounds, one to one work, and the occasional visit from my teacher.
A short course rather than a drop-in: four Friday mornings on Zoom, building a practice you can keep. Good if Sundays in Kreuzberg do not work, or if you want to start from home.
One to one, paced to you. Beginners who want to start properly, practitioners working around an injury or a condition, and teachers who want their own pranayama practice looked at.
I bring my teacher to Berlin when I can, for weekends of pranayama through to meditation. If you want to study with the lineage directly rather than through me, this is the way.
I am one of the few teachers in Europe certified in this lineage, and the only one teaching classical pranayama in it in Berlin. If that is useful to you, here is where I am.
A weekly slot, a workshop, or the pranayama module inside your teacher training. Most studios have nobody who teaches this as a practice in its own right, and it sits well next to a strong āsana schedule.
I have taught in the Netherlands, India and Germany over the last eight years. Retreats, trainings and workshops, as the breath half of something bigger or on its own.
I host Sudhir Tiwari in Berlin. If you run a studio or a training elsewhere in Europe and want to bring the Kaivalyadhama lineage directly to your students, I can help make that happen.
I met my teacher four years ago. When the student is ready the teacher will appear, and Sudhir Tiwari has shaped how I understand Yoga ever since.
Before that I had been teaching hatha for years, in the Netherlands, in India and in Germany, eight years now, in a way I would call accessible, heartfelt and modern. Pranayama is what I came to properly last, and it is what I teach most carefully.
In September 2025 I began the second and third years of teacher training in pranayama, classical yoga and Ayurveda at the Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute in Lonavala, still with Sudhir. Reach out, touch breath. This is Yoga.
When a pop-up round opens, when Sudhir is coming, and when anything changes on a Sunday. Sent to you rather than announced and missed.
